It depends on the trucking company just as much as prior experience. If you haven't been driving in the past 6 months, your chances are slim to get on with a big company.
You'll just have to keep trying, with the smaller outfits, until somebody decides they will take a chance on you.
I was off work for a year and found a job as a contract driver with a smaller outfit. |

| Yes you can get a job BUT BE VERY CAREFULL TO WHAT YOU LET THE COMPANY KNOW ABOUT YOUR ILLNESS!I have seen companies turn drivers away because of health problems so do be carefull of what you tell them. |
